David Andrusia is the author of two perennial career books, THE PERFECT PITCH: How to Sell Yourself in Today’s Job Market (Warner Books) and BRAND YOURSELF: How to Create an Identity for a Brilliant Career (Random House/Ballantine). His work has been profiled in major media in the United States, Canada, and abroad. He is also the author or co-author of 11 other non-fiction books, including FENG SHUI CHIC, profiled in The New York Times and translated into 10 languages.

Biopic

An honors graduate of Columbia in French and psychology, David studied modern languages at the Sorbonne, and did his graduate work in communications and marketing at Penn’s Annenberg and Wharton Schools. He speaks French, German, Italian, and Spanish—and has a Brazilophile’s knowledge of Portuguese.

After graduating, David managed international brands at companies including Revlon, Sanrio, and Swatch Watch USA in New York. Upon moving to Los Angeles, he became marketing director at Fox’s Media Home Entertainment group; next, he was tapped to head marketing for New Line Cinema’s Home Entertainment division.

It was at this time he wrote THE PERFECT PITCH as “the natural response to having helped scores of friends land great jobs over the years.” Now, as a career consultant, he works with full-timers, free-lancers, and consultants—from recent graduates to seasoned professionals—do the same.
